Open Source Blog Engine

By September 26, 2009 asp.net

The open source blog engine, BlogEngine.net is working out fairly well so far. The only issues is getting my posts from http://mitchelladams.blogspot.com/ imported into the engine.  The BlogML and RSS imports won’t seem to work.

Gotta love GoDaddy for causing pain to anyone wanting to do something other than what GoDaddy wants. Anyone banging their heads should try these pages:

If you are running into problems using the blog import tool and are getting “username / password” invalid error, then try setting the time offset in the settings area to 0.  This worked for me. Apparently an error gets thrown when trying to convert datetimes.
